Briefly describe your business: Classic Comfort Heating & Supply has been serving the Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Michigan area for over the past 23 years providing sales and service to Central Boiler Outdoor Wood and Pellet Furnace owners. Their extensive product knowledge and commitment to customer service has made Classic Comfort Heating & Supply the largest Central Boiler Dealer in the Midwest.
When did your business start? 1993
How did you get started in this business? After a few years of extensive research looking for a safer, more efficient way to heat our home, David chose an Outdoor Wood Furnace from Central Boiler based in Greenbush, Minnesota. At that time Central Boiler was seeking out motivated individuals with a desire to help others with their alternative energy needs and he partnered with them and became a dealer. In 2005, after graduating from Bluffton University and 5+ years working at Sherwin-Williams here in Greenville, I left and partnered with Dad to grow the business by expanding our product lines, creating an Internet presence and increasing sales through continued education.
Where do you see your business in the next year? We are very optimistic with the outlook of our business in the years to come. Alternative Energy demand continues to grow as energy prices rise and we can offer affordable, safe and more efficient alternatives to traditional energy.
How has Greenville Federal helped your business grow? We are always looking to manage costs and the fact that Greenville Federal has reduced fees often charged by other banks has been of great value to our business. Also, the professional and personal relationships that come with partnering with a local bank are crucial to our continued success. I know that with just a simple phone call, I have someone on the other end of the line at Greenville Federal who has my best interests at heart.
What is the one thing about your business that people may not know? While our core business is still outdoor alternative energy solutions through utilizing wood, pellets, corn and coal as fuel sources, most people may not know that we offer an extensive product line up which includes – Val 6 Heaters, Big Green Egg Smokers & Grills, Green Mountain Pellet Smokers & Grills, Stryker Log Splitters, Radiant Floor Supplies & Design and much, much more. Here at Classic Comfort Heating & Supply LLC, you will find that everything that we offer in our business – we use in our everyday lives.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working? Growing up on the farm, it’s hard to not constantly be working as there is always something that needs to be done and in our business that rings equally true; however, we do enjoy grilling out with family and friends.
