Briefly describe your business: Barry Family Dentistry is a general dentistry practice. We provide services such as fillings, crowns, cleanings, dentures and a number of other procedures to restore a patient’s smile.
When did your business start? Barry Family Dentistry was started in 2008. The practice was previously owned by Daryl Locke.
How did you get started in this business? I’ve always been interested in science in school and I’ve always liked to tinker. Dentistry seemed like a great combination of the two. I graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Biology in 1995 and a DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999.
Where do you see your business in the next year? We continue to grow. We accept new patients which always keeps us busy. We accept most insurances.
How has Greenville Federal helped your business grow? Our business loan is through Greenville Federal. They had an outstanding rate and worked around my schedule to take care of all the paperwork. Living and working in Greenville, I feel banking local is important. I see the same people in Greenville Federal that I see at school functions and community events. If ever I need something, I’m not stuck on a phone tree or talking to someone in New York.
What is the one thing about your business that people may not know? I’m amazed how many people ask if we take new patients. We are always glad to meet new people. I have an amazing staff that goes above and beyond to make people comfortable and happy.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working? When I’m not at one of my three kids swimming, band or other school activity, I am usually outside. I enjoy fishing, hunting, shooting and wiping off muddy dog paws.
